The Union House is busy working away, restoring its heritage house in the heart of Strathcona. In the meantime, we want to stay true to our objective of providing affordable housing for artists. Here are a couple of places where artists can work, live and create. These houses located in Vancouver, BC and Syracuse, NY were founded by like minded Trail Blazers investing in the restoration of houses and preserving the culture and history of their surrounding neighborhoods. The Blue Cabin, Vancouver
This beautiful floating residency was launched in August, 2019. It has a rich history. For 100 years it resisted in the high and low tides and became home for maritime laborers and families. Later in 60’s the place was transformed to one of kind unique art residency.
ArtHouse, Syracuse
An Interdisciplinary Artist Residency in New York, is know for new interdisciplinary ideas; individual, collaborative and collective art. ArtHouse support wide range of disciplines — Architecture, Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, Film, Music, Humanities and further uncategorized creatives.
