Kasha Konaka

This piece was created thinking of this pandemic time.  Stuck at home and feeling like my whole industry was at an end. I felt lost, depressed, tired and heavy. The news made me cry. My training fell apart. I stopped doing much and lost the meaning to why I was doing anything.  It was another day when I was feeling unmotivated to do anything at all was a day when I was lying around on the couch. Depressed, not feeling like I could get up. My mind told me I needed to. And I started very little movements moving them in interesting ways. I put on some music. Started moving my body a little more. Found a little bit of myself again in the movement.

And so the couch.

I also chose not to hide the extra softness I have on my body to show that our bodies fluctuate and that is okay.
